Safer Internet Day Competition 2016

Dr Radcliffe’s E-safety Competition

The theme for this year's Safer Internet Day was “Play your part”. We asked children to think about what they can do to be safe and help others to be safe using the internet.

KS2 children were challenged to enter the competition by writing a script or performing a scene which highlights the dangers of using the internet and how to be safe.

KS1 children were asked to enter by drawing a simple cartoon sequence or creating a leaflet showing how to be safe on the internet.

Foundation children entered by drawing a picture about how to be safe on the internet.

Have a look in their gallery to see how they got on.

Thank you to all those who took part, we had lots of fantastic entries. The winners from each class were asked to share their entries with the whole school in our assembly on Safer Internet Day (9th February).

Congratulations to Finley in class 2 and, Harry and Ben in class 3, who are the competition winners for each Key Stage.

The overall winning entries for each Key Stage were used to share the E-safety message with the school and wider community. Finley's Leaflet was photocopied and sent home to all families in the school and you can view Harry and Ben's video below. It is well worth a watch!
