I have been a Governor (Community) at Dr Radcliffe’s school since November 2021. My initial day to day knowledge and involvement with the school came from being a parent with both my son, then daughter, attending over a 12 year period. For a number of years, I was also a member of the ‘Friends’ of Dr Radcliffe’s. Both of my children, (with very different learning styles, interests and personalities) benefitted from spending their primary education at Dr Radcliffe’s. I am passionate about supporting learning and delivery of exemplary education standards to all pupils in thriving and safe environment, where the vision and values are clearly demonstrated. This is why I volunteered to be a Governor. I am currently a member of the Admissions Committee, Personnel & Wellbeing Committee and have recently also taken over the Finance and Resources Committee. My background is outside the education sector having spent over 20 years in a large financial institution, working in Finance, HR & Training, Quality Assurance and Procurement. Since 2000, I have been a co-Director of a local company providing consultancy services.
The commitment and expertise of the entire school team continues to inspire, and I will strive to provide support and challenge through good governance. I very much look forward to working with the new Head Teacher and promoting the continued success of Dr Radcliffe’s.’
