A team of ten Year 5 and 6 children travelled to Sibford School on 28th November for the Warriner Family Swimming Gala.

After a short warm up in the pool, the first races were medley relays. Both the boys' and girls' teams got the competition off to a brilliant start for Dr Radcliffe's with some excellent performances.

The children then took part in individual races in backstroke, breaststroke, butterfly and freestyle. Again there were some fantastic performances and determination and many exciting races. The team all supported each other brilliantly too. Some of the children volunteered to swim strokes that were not their first choice and it was great to see them doing this so willingly for the benefit of the team.

The gala finished with freestyle relay races and once again the whole team showed determination and passion, which was the designated sporting value of the event.

Congratulations to all of the children who took part, who all performed brilliantly and represented the school in a positive, and enthusiastic manner.
