Welcome to the class page for children in Year 1. Here you will find examples and photographs of the work your child has completed, letters which have been sent home, planning documents and useful information.
Mrs Smit works on a Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday and Mrs Fane works on a Friday. We have two teaching assistants, Miss Smith and Mrs Harris. The children have PE every Friday morning and Forest School is on a Thursday afternoon.
In Term 6 our topic is "Holidays". We will be finding out about seaside holidays in the past, what people wore on the beach and of course “Punch and Judy”. The children will be designing and making their own puppets. They will have a group design project to create a floating platform, so that a book can be read while lazing in a pool! We will also be looking at maps, both of the UK and the world and thinking about what features countries might have.
