The children were so excited about the snow this morning, so after phonics, we wrapped ourselves up warm in our waterproofs, wellies, extra coats where needed, hats, scarves and gloves and set off out on the field. The children had great fun exploring the snow, trying to make snowballs with one pair successfully making a mini snowman and learning how to make snow angels. A few children were interested in why they could see the grass of the field in some places but not others which led to discussions about the trees perhaps providing some shelter or whether the sun had melted some of the snow. Lovely to watch the children have fun in the snow - we love making the most of such opportunities.
