Partnership Art Day

On Thursday 23rd January 2020, 7 children from classes 3 and 4 joined children from Christopher Rawlins and Deddington Primary School for a day of Art.

During the day the children experimented with various media and art techniques. The inspiration for the day was based on the polish Artist, Jan Lebenstein, who uses silhouette over interesting backgrounds.

Some of the techniques covered included marble painting, ink washes and use of acrylic and oil based paints. They also used polystyrene tiles to create a block print with their own designs and also stencils to make silhouettes, finishing with black ink to add fine details.

They had a really fun and inspiring day and all the children were keen to have a go. They ended up creating some really beautiful and interesting pieces.
