Day 1
After a late start and a rather long journey, we finally arrived to the chants of "'Woodlands! Woodlands!". The sun was shining and the staff were greeted by very excited, but hungry, children.
Once stomachs were filled, the fun really began - unpacking bags and making beds!!
With Challenge 1 successfully completed, each group spent a lovely afternoon, on-site, doing various problem-solving and team-building activities. This included 'The Plank Challenge' , The Tube Challenge', 'Up and Over' and 'Ring the Bell', as well as others. Great fun was had by all.
After a very filling tea of chicken goujons and chips, followed by apple crumble and custard, which may I say was served brilliantly by the children, the whole group went on a lovely walk to admire the Welsh countryside.
And so we approach bedtime... wish us all well as we try and settle the children to sleep on their first night.
