Scarab Beetles - September 2020

We have been learning that Khepri (name meaning rising sun), the scarab beetle, was an important symbol to the Ancient Egyptians. Khepri was a sun god and represented the rising of the sun each day. That is why he is always pointing upwards.

 

Who would have thought you could make this out of a piece of foil and some tissue paper.
