Forest School - Skeletons
Class 3 had a fabulous forest school session this Thursday. First we were challenged to build a skeleton using natural materials, naming and including as many of the bones we have learnt about as possible.
How many of these bones can you find in each natural creation?
skull, ribs, spine, patella(knee cap) femur, pelvis, tibia, fibula, ulna and radius.
After some free play exploring the environment and building dens, we finished our session off with a mindfulness activity, lying on the ground and taking a quiet moment to focus on ourselves, our breathing, our feelings and then using our senses to take in the beauty of the natural world around us.
