Day 4

Kilvrough Blog - The Final Push!

Dear Reader - please forgive the lateness of the blog this evening. It has been a very hectic day with lots of excitement and adventures and I will apologise in advance for the brevity and lack of entertaining anecdotes tonight; the staff and I are working on the last of our heavily depleted energy reserves, as are the children.

On our last full day we have had groups out climbing, abseiling, walking over to Wormshead and canoeing. I have tried to include as many pictures as possible to give you a flavour of the day. The evening has ended as it always does on the Thursday of residential week, with packing bags ready to bring down early tomorrow morning & spending pocket money. Despite our best efforts we never do manage to repatriate those random stray socks or pairs of pants that seem to litter the floors of various rooms!

All in all it's been a great week - made even better by the sunshine. I'd like to thank the centre staff for their time, care and dedication to providing the very best for the children here at Kilvrough. But most of all, I'd like to thank Dr Radcliffe's staff who have been amazing all week and have given up time away from their homes, friends and families & will each have clocked up a 75 hour week by the time we get back - in the words of Tina Turner they're 'simply the best.'

Thanks for reading, see you all tomorrow- over and out.
