BMX Workshop
On 1st October, Mike Mullen, a former BMX Half Pipe World Champion, came to Dr Radcliffe's to lead some exciting workshops for the Year 5 and 6 children.
The day started with an inspiring and exciting assembly on the playground, where Mike talked about his journey from taking up the sport to becoming a World Champion. He talked to the children about the importance of believing in yourself, learning through failure and never giving up.
He then amazed the school with some of his tricks!
The workshops for Year 5 and 6 were brilliant and the children took away a huge amount from Mike's 'Growth Mindset' philosophy. It was fantastic to hear their enthusiasm for the day and their sense of achievement.
It was an excellent event and will be remembered by all the children. A huge 'Thank You' to both the Friends of Dr Radcliffe's and to the Year 5 and 6 parents for helping to fund the day.
