CLASS 6 BLOG
Over the past 5 days we have been continuing our fascinating work on London.
We are now concentrating on how different it was in Victorian times. We have found out how many people immigrated into London from the country to make it an industrial city. Continuing the subject of London, we have been sketching some pictures from the olden days when people in London used horse & carts as transport and used things we don’t use currently.
In maths we are learning challenging coordinates and also measurement. If we are finding this concept difficult we can go over to the maths board. This tells us how to work out the question and which operation is needed.
In English we are working on authors and their different styles of writing. We are also working on complicated grammar including subordinate clauses, metaphors, and similes.
Mrs Sutton has put up an amazing display of examples! If we begin to use these in our writing we will have a better mark in our SATS test being held in May.
In the interesting subject of science we are revising what an insulator and a conductor are. We are all looking forward to continuing the engaging work in all our subjects.
