The sun has certainly been shining on Class 2 at the right time! After the downpour of the day before, we had glorious sunshine again for our visit to the woods this week although it is beginning to get a bit colder now. Luckily, the children were wrapped up warm and their waterproofs added an extra layer of protection especially when playing our warm up game of hide and seek. The children are definitely becoming more creative with their ideas of how to hide - hiding their faces in their hoods is certainly making me have to think more about who it could be when I track them down.
As it is becoming clearer that we are in Autumn, the children listened to the story Leaf Man which has some wonderful pictures of leaves being used to create animals and settings of where Lead Man travels. Using this as inspiration and some other pictures for stimulus, the children were challenged to create their own leaf pictures.
There were some lovely ideas as you will see below which included a heart, an umbrella, a leaf man, an owl, a hedgehog and a star, amongst others.
