This week we arrived to very autumnal looking woods, there were lots of colourful leaves on the floor, some of which were hiding a mysterious letter. It appears that there are pixies living in our woods and by the sounds of things they've been taking a keen interest in what are learning in the classroom as well as in the woods. The pixies asked us to create homes for a group of woodland creatures who we planning to move into our woods.
In our free play, lots of the children continued to develop the homes for their animals, some animals were living together who you might not expect to in the wild normally. There was lots of discussion, negotiation, team work and collaboration going on in the different groups of children in their play which was great to observe and listen to.
