On Monday 30th November, we braved the blustery winds to visit a local ancient stone circle, the Rollright Stones. After reading myths and legends about the 'Kings Men', 'The Whispering Knights' and the 'King Stone', we were excited to explore the mysterious site ourselves.
Legend explains that you cannot count the 'Kings Men' stones. Each time you count you will get an different number, and if you do manage to count the same number three times your wish will come true.
We pegged together a timeline of key events and were challenged to work as a team to move very heavy stones using ancient techniques.
Big thanks to the Rollright Trust and parent volunteers for helping us.
