Dr Radcliffe's Engineering Vacuum Challenge - December 2014

Year 5 and Year 6 children from Deddington, Christopher Rawlings, Bloxham, Wroxton, Sibford Gower and Shennington primary schools came and joined us for an engineering day.

Our task was to become electrical engineers and build a vacuum cleaner using a fan and a plastic bottle!

We had to build our own propellers and work out which way we needed to wire up the circuit so that the rotation of the propellers sucked up tiny bits of shredded £5 notes. The propellers then needed to be secured in some sort of casing to collect up the rubbish.

Every school successfully achieved the task and fun was had by all.
