Christmas Nativity Scene
Class R were given the part of the Christmas story from Luke's Gospel, when Mary and Joseph arrive in Bethlehem and try and find some where to rest.
6 While Joseph and Mary were in Bethlehem, the time came for her to have the baby.
7 She gave birth to her first son. There were no rooms left in the inn. So she wrapped the baby with cloths and laid him in a box where animals are fed.
We had planned to do act out some of the scene but as we had to learn at home for two weeks we didn't have enough time for everyone to feel confident about what they were saying so we sang Away in a Manger. The children sang this beautifully.
