As part of Waste Week, Lauren Dean from Oxfordshire Green Schools helped us to investigate what we throw away so we can reduce our waste. Eco Councillors (and helpers) from each year group are now working with Miss Mathias to check the contents of class "landfill" bins by sorting and counting the "rubbish". The task includes creating bar charts that show, at a glance, what we're putting in our landfill bins (as opposed to our recycling bins). We will use the charts to check whether some things we throw in landfill bins, such as paper or banana skins, could be recycled or composted instead. Watch this space to see what we discover!
