We had a great day out at Warwick Castle in glorious sunshine. We explored Clarence Tower first to make sure everyone was happy to climb the spiral staircase before heading up Guy's Tower which is a twelve sided tower and is nearly 40 meters high. There were amazing views from the top of the tower which in medieval times would have been very helpful for spotting invaders. We walked up the which is one of the oldest parts of Warwick Castle, built in 1068 under the orders of William the Conqueror. It formed the most important part of the Norman castle’s defence system. We explored other areas of the castle too to learn more about living in a castle. What a great day out we had!
