Trip to Sutton Courtenay Nature Reserve - May 2017

As part of our topic on Habitats, the class had an amazing day at Sutton Courtenay Nature Reserve developing our working scientifically skills through a range of activities. These included mini beast hunting n the woods, meadow sweeping, pond dipping and identifying what we found using dichotomous keys. It was a fantastic day but the highlight had to be when we found a newt!!

Thank you to all the staff at the nature reserve for making us feel so welcome but also to the parents that came along to support us on the day.
