  My Story :Dr Barnado

   

  I had nothing to live for. My life was already over, before I was even 6. They were the exact words running through my mind as I lay there, shivering with cold next to my sister. She was not moving, nor breathing. Hypothermia had finally claimed victory.

  The visiting of the reaper had only occurred two days before the miraculous, life- saving event. I was alone, isolated from the entire population of London. I cried, wept wildly in fact. I had no money, no family, no dignity, no life and no hope…

  That’s when he stood there, towering over me, speaking with the kindest voice you’ll ever hear.

  ‘’Come son, I’ll look after you.’’

  Dr Barnado his name, my saviour.
