What is a school council?
A school council is group of students who are elected to represent the views of all pupils and to improve their school.
What does it do?
A school council does a number of things:
If you have a problem, or an idea for how to improve our school, these are the people you need to talk to!
Congratulations to this year's school councillors!
Each member has been elected by their class mates to represent them on this years School Council.
School Council Meeting
2nd December 2015
During our meeting together we discussed a few ideas that came to our attention.
One of our pupils came and asked if we could do a charity called the Nicodemus trust. His idea was to raise money for the Nicodemus trust by having a crisp sale or a sponsored run around the school. The pupil responsible for this idea will ask Mrs Brown if it is possible.
Mr Fane talked to us and the teachers around the school about a website that supports reading. This website is called Readathon. If we decided to sign up to Readathon as a school then the company will send us a starter pack. Mr Fane has mentioned to the school council about how it is easy to organise. WE READING!
One of our subjects in school council is bullying and behaviour. Personally we think our school has little bullying problems but it is still partly our duty to make sure that our school is a anti-bullying environment. The school council have come up with an idea to do a bullying survey. This bullying survey will be about your experiences of bullying, being the victim or the bully. This survey will be held by Felix, Grace , Holly , Maya.
Our next meeting will be a follow up from the 2nd December. If you have you any ideas please feel free to come and talk to us about your idea and we can have a talk to the school council about it.
