KS2 Triathlon
On 17th October, Sibford School hosted the Warriner Family Triathlon which was attending by teams from Year 3 to 6.
The Year 3 and 4 children took part in a relay team event with each child completing one of the disciplines of swimming, cycling and running, before handing over to a team mate. The Year 5 and 6 children had to complete all three of the disciplines, as well as managing the tricky transitions. With the length of the swim extended for the older pupils this year, the children all did brilliantly in what is a really challenging event.
Many of the children commented that it was the 'hardest thing they have ever done' and is was fantastic to see the determination they all showed to keep going and the sense of satisfaction they had from getting to the end.
Well done to everyone who took part and congratulations to the Year 3 boys' team who won their event, and the Year 4 girls' team who finished 3rd.
A massive 'thank you' to all the parents who helped both with transport and also at the event, as it would not have been possible to attend without your support.
