Global warming - February 2017
Year 1 have been thinking about being global citizens. They have learnt about global warming and why it is important that we care for our earth as part of their RE Big Question, Should we care about the world? They used the website: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E6zW43U7yqM for a simple presentation about what global warming is. They have learnt that certain gases make the atmosphere warm up. They learnt that: There are 3 main ways that this happens- using/making electricity (so we need to make sure we don't waste it), car fumes (so don't drive when you don't need to) and rubbish dumps giving off gases (so it is better to reuse and recycle than throw things away). The children's thoughts have been displayed in their classroom on their Reflection Display.
