We had a fantastic D&T day on Friday and baked some delicious Roman Bread! Learning about what the Romans ate was fascinating and helped us to understand how bread was such an important part of their diet. We then went on to learn all about food hygiene and staying safe when cooking. After break the baking began; we followed instructions, weighed out ingredients and combined them using different techniques, the results as you can see were impressive. In the afternoon we took on the role of taste testers and tried different types of bread, comparing their smell, appearance, taste and texture.
