The children were given the challenge of making a cylinder from an A4 sheet of paper. The only additional equipment available to them was paper clips, scissors and cellotape. They were then challenged to think about how they could attach their cylinder tower to a base and after some discussion making tabs was suggested so the had a go at attaching their towers to a base. After that they were asked to think how they could make a cone for the top of their tower, a clue of using a circle was given and they worked out that by cutting into the middle and folding it round they could make a cone. The final challenge was to attach their cone to the top of the cylinder tower using more tabs. Lots of great thinking and perseverance to complete these tasks.
